A little about us and what we do
Our Style and syllabus
The Attitude syllabus has been built to focus on real-world self-defence, with a martial arts twist, to keep us flexible and fit.
We’ve taken input from UK Police de-escalation documents, crime statistics, local bouncers, work in pupil referral schools, our training in a range of martial arts and decades of teaching experience.
We train strikes, blocks, kicks, break-away techniques, movement, defending on the ground and some weapons-defence.

Meet the team:
Perry Walton
I have been studying many forms of martial arts ever since I was a small child. I was fascinated by not just the beauty and elegance of their fighting styles, but also their culture and history. I would watch martial arts movies with my granddad and always try and copy what I saw (much to his enjoyment).
As I grew older, I started to have issues at school with my behavior. I’d become a bit of a "Trouble Maker". It was then at the age of 15 that I decided to practice martial arts properly. I started my journey with Kung Fu. After a little while though, I realized that it was not like the movies so I started to train in Wing Chun, which is an up-close fighting style with fluid movements and a strong principle of feeling where your opponent is and being able to manipulate them with their own energy.
After that I became obsessed with learning as many different styles as I could, with my goal to become a more rounded person with a multitude of techniques and styles.
I have studied Kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Karate and MMA and ground fighting techniques. I will always continue to practice and learn every single day. What I offer at Attitude Martial Arts is a plethora of martial arts styles. I also understand the benefits of practicing a martial art, as it can help with mental fortitude, increase confidence and self awareness, tackle troubling behavior as well as many more health and lifestyle benefits.
I look forward to seeing how you all grow

Over a decade’s Martial Arts teaching experience
I started learning martial arts when I was just seven years old, my dad got me into Korean Karate. That was the beginning of my journey and I’ve trained on and off for most of my life since then. This journey saw me win a few local sparring tournaments and eventually led me to running my own class.
Over the last 8 years I’ve dedicated my training to real-life self-defence, gaining my black belts and helping hundreds of others to develop their skills.
As well as staying active and constantly learning, I’m really passionate about building others up, not only in their skill level but in their self-confidence.
Personal Info: I’m a family man, married with four children. I work in an office in the day time. I also love to keep fit at the gym and am a keen survivalist camper – as I believe in being capable of defending yourself in all situations.
