Frequently asked questions

  • We’ve trained with some truly inspiring people who have all the excuse they need not to train. But they did. And they showed fantastic growth. Drop us a message and as long as training won’t injure you further, and we can support – we will!

  • Sometimes people go through things in their lives that can make them really uncomfortable in aggressive situations. We’ve had great success with this type of fear before. Simply let us know, and as long as your goal is to eventually conquer that fear, we’ll support you all the way.

  • Absolutely. While our aim is to get everyone as fit and flexible as they can be, we know that real self-defence doesn’t need spinning somersault kicks to head-height, so we’ll make sure you can train in a way that will be useful for you.

  • We’re not fixed to you training a specific day or both days a week. As long as you’re committed to coming as often as you can.

  • It certainly will. Knowing that you’re able to defend yourself gives endless confidence. But it’s not only that, you’ll be part of a community and you’ll grow the more you work hard. That achievement gives people a purpose that’s hard to find in a social media world.

  • Exercising and training hard will release chemicals in the brain (endorphins) these are the body’s natural way of reducing stress and improving well-being.

  • We take students on from the ages of 8 upwards, and there’s no maximum.

  • On the contrary. Science has shown us that aggression is governed in the same place in the brain as fear. This means that the more you train, and the more competent you become, the less you fear and the less aggressive you’ll be if you find yourself in a challenging situation - unless you need to be.

  • Not at all. We take great care to ensure we’re always affordable.
